Focus on sustainability secured three medals in the Farmand Prize

Celebration of award for best digital annual report.

The annual report is no longer reserved for a narrow target group, it has in many ways become a central part of companies' brand building. This broad commitment was clearly seen during this year's Farmand Prize award ceremony, where Mission won gold and bronze together with TINE and Grieg Seafood, respectively.

TINE with gold for best digital annual report

TINE wants to reach as many people as possible with information and experiences of everyday life in TINE, from the time milk is produced on the farm until it is on the kitchen table. For the second time, we have prepared TINE's integrated digital annual report with videos, animations, interactive maps, text and photos.

The report highlights TINE's commitment to sustainable value creation and is a natural part of the company's brand building. Go to TINE's annual report here.

The jury had the following to say: "[The annual report] shows in an excellent way how this format can give the various target groups a significant added value compared to what a traditional paper or pdf report can give!"

"The way Mission has implemented and presented the Sustainability Report in our digital annual report shows how skilled they are at making a very demanding topic engaging and interesting for a broad audience."

- Bjørn Malm, Head of Sustainability, TINE

Grieg Seafood impressed with bronze in the prestigious category

The concept for Grieg Seafood's annual report reflects the vision: "Rooted in Nature". The annual report helps to show how Grieg Seafood's sustainable ambitions go hand in hand with profitability. The proximity to the sea and nature, employees' own stories and thorough data give customers, investors and employees a clear message that commits and engages.

Grieg Seafood won bronze for best annual report among listed companies and also bronze in the category best idea and design. The jury had this to say about the prestigious category for best annual report: "This year, it is especially the level among the nominated sites in the Børs class that impresses with solid content, very good usability and effective use of relevant images and video.". «The annual report is an important tool for highlighting how good sustainability is also positive for the bottom-line. Mission helped us find the core of our story, and present it in a beautiful and authentic way. "

–Renete Kaarvik, Global Finance Officer, Grieg Seafood

According to Kristina Furnes, Global Communications Manager at Grieg Seafood, sustainability is at the heart of what Grieg Seafood is working on. The salmon is chosen by the world's leading chefs, and even Obama served it at his inauguration dinner! For Grieg Seafood, it is crucial to produce fish in a way that safeguards the sea for all time to come. With this report, the company gives an honest picture of how far they have come on the road, and what they still have to work with. "

Norway's most prestigious jury of annual reports

The Farmand Prize is Norway's most prestigious annual report prize and has been awarded every year since 1955. The prizes are intended to inspire companies, and lithographs are awarded to the winners in the categories idea and design and best annual report online. The Farmand Award for the best website was established in 2006 and follows the same concept as the original Farmand Award. Here it competes in the four classes Børs, Non-Oslo, Public and Open class.

Digital annual reports increasingly important

In recent years, more emphasis has been placed on digitization in reporting, and the annual reports have gained more types of users and an expanded field of application. It is no longer just about numbers and graphs, but just as much about strengthening your own brand and clarifying the company's strategist and the company's purpose . Annual reports are used as an extended company brochure in presentations to investors and customers.

Annual reports also provide a golden opportunity to showcase the company's visual identity .

Mission congratulates TINE and Grieg Seafood on the awards and also welcomes the generally very high level of design of annual reports. It is noticeable that there is an investment, and we warmly welcome that.
