Introduction
The Grieg Group's vision of bringing all companies together under the banner “One Grieg Group” was the starting point for building a solid multi-site solution, adapted for many editors and from the various companies in the group. Extensive work was done to map all existing websites, assess their strengths and weaknesses and, not least, take into account all the companies' needs and ambitions. In this way, we and each project group at the companies gained insight into how we could use new websites more actively to inspire and engage different target groups, including through storytelling.
Challenge
Although several of the Grieg Group's websites initially shared the same layout template, the websites had evolved in different directions over time. In addition, an older, complicated publishing solution had meant that few had the opportunity to update the content and several websites had been left untouched for a long time.
A desire for renewal, both visually and not least in relation to the role the websites should have for the companies, meant that something had to be done.
Solution
An updated and modern design was developed to clarify and strengthen the brand's identity. The system was developed with a number of modules to accommodate all the companies' needs, so that each could highlight and strengthen its position in the market while at the same time appearing as one holistic brand.
An intuitive and educational publishing tool was adapted so that multiple editors could use the solution and content could be cross-published across the sites.
Result
The Grieg Group and a total of 9 subsidiaries have received help to launch their new websites in the new template. Several internal editors have collaborated with Mission on new architecture and new content.
The result is that the websites are perceived as unifying in terms of building on the Grieg Group brand.
In addition, new content in the form of articles, stories, images and videos has made the pages Grieg's most important channel for inspiring and engaging customers, partners and employees.
