The Leadership Compass

When the map is wrong.

the compass.

The Leadership Compass is driven by a clear ambition to challenge how we view leadership development, both professionally and visually.

In an industry characterized by seriousness, hierarchies and an almost unchanging expression, they wanted to appear as a clear and modern alternative. Not by simplifying the complex, but by making it accessible, human and relevant.

"The process with Mission has been both thorough and inspiring. They have managed to understand who we are, while at the same time challenging us to think differently. The result hits home for us, and we are genuinely proud of what we are left with."

Where many actors communicate authority through distance and weight, we chose to go a different way for the Leader Compass. The identity should create security, but also energy. It had to be precise, but never rigid. Serious, but always positive.

The name The Leadership Compass already contains a strong metaphor: direction, navigation and security in uncertainty. The visual therefore does not need to repeat this literally, but rather expand the understanding of what a compass can mean in modern leadership. We have developed a symbol that interprets the idea of orientation and direction in a more open and abstract way.

"We had a clear desire to stand out in the category. Leadership development doesn't have to look the same everywhere, and it was important for us to create an expression that actually reflects who we are and how we work."

The visual language is built on a strict but vibrant design language. A brighter and more optimistic color palette breaks with the norm in the industry, where many expressions are subdued and heavy. The visual profile should work equally well in meetings with individuals as in larger organizations.

The identity takes space and gives space. It clearly distinguishes Lederkompasset from a conservative category and positions them as a new and relevant alternative in leadership development.

A brand that not only shows the way, but actually feels like a direction.
