Skuna Bay offers premium quality salmon to the North American market. A product valued by top restaurants, leading chefs and premium retail stores. The salmon is farmed in natural environments outside Vancouver, BC in Canada, and cared for by the most experienced salmon farmers. With origins from the Northwest Coast, Skuna Bay is in an excellent position to offer high-quality, short-haul raw materials to the American market.
Challenge
Until 2023, Skuna Bay Salmon was only available to the professional chef, but with a desire to offer the same quality product to consumers, there was a need to build a strong and distinct brand that could match this commitment.
Solution
The visual identity reflects the product itself by being clean, elegant and stripped of unnecessary "additives". Salmon is a photogenic product, and we wanted to let it speak for itself by creating a series of images. The image series portrays everything from pure raw materials to preparation by professional chefs, to delicious dishes where salmon plays the main role. With a minimalist color palette based on white and black, we let the images of the fish and delicious dishes speak for themselves. All wrapped up in a modern and elegant typeface with a message that supports high quality and professional pride.
The result is a visual identity that stands out among the competition, and that creates a good foundation for making an inroad into the kitchens of those who truly appreciate top quality, whether at home in their own kitchen or out in a professional kitchen.
