Skuna Bay offers premium quality salmon to the North American market. A product appreciated by top restaurants, leading chefs and premium retail stores. The salmon is farmed in natural surroundings outside Vancouver, BC, Canada, and cared for by the most experienced salmon farmers. Originating from the Northwest Coast, Skuna Bay is ideally positioned to offer high-quality, locally sourced produce to the US market.
Challenge
Until 2023, Skuna Bay Salmon was only available to the professional chef, but with a desire to offer the same quality product to the consumer, there was a need to build a strong and distinct brand to match this venture.
Solution
The visual identity reflects the product itself by being clean, elegant and stripped of unnecessary "additions". The salmon is a photogenic product, and we wanted to let it speak for itself by creating a series of images. The picture series portrays everything from pure raw materials to preparation by professional chefs, up to delicious dishes where the salmon plays the main role. With a minimalist color palette based on white and black, we let the images of the fish and delicious dishes speak for themselves. Everything wrapped in a modern and elegant typeface with a message that underpins high quality and professional pride.
The result is a visual identity that stands out among the competition, and which creates a good basis for entering the kitchen of those who really appreciate top quality, whether at home in their own kitchen or out in a professional kitchen.
