Imagine this: A dental visit that makes you smile! At Evident Tannlege, this became a reality when Andrea and John Atle took over the helm. They didn't just carry on a legacy, they created a vision. Join us in the story of how a new name, a new visual identity and a cohesive brand platform were forged - with a smile - to make dentistry a joyful experience.

 

It was early fall and the new year was approaching. Andrea and John Atle were about to take over ownership of the dental business from Andrea's father. They already had plans and ambitions for the company and wanted to turn it into something more. They wanted to mark the transition to this new thing, and decided that a new name and a new visual identity would do this well.

We agreed that it was wise to define what the brand should be before developing a name and identity, so we conducted interviews with employees and customers, as well as a workshop where we defined a brand platform for the company based on the insights from the interviews.

Based on this, we developed the concept "With a smile", which also takes into account that these dentists have a heart for both people and their profession.

The name Evident was chosen as the new company name. This symbolizes both that they should be the natural choice when choosing a dentist (evident in English), as well as the duality of people and profession; Evi for a lifelong relationship and Dent for the professional field.

We uncovered a culture characterized by openness and laughter and low shoulders on the one hand, and a strong focus on the professional and professional on the other. Customers expressed that they were very comfortable in a relaxed atmosphere with clear and good information and good dentists.

The new logo has the smile integrated into the wordmark, so that you naturally perceive the two parts of the name, and the twinkle in the eye comes out in animations. We also developed a visual and textual toolbox that together express warmth, friendliness, openness and professionalism. This helps to de-risk the dental visit and hopefully make customers look forward to their next visit to the dentist.

The result is a modern and playful identity that reflects the essence of the company's culture and allows for further growth and development.
