How Can We Make Customers Feel Enthusiastic About Our Shop?

 

In line with Expo Nova's goal of "creating beautiful and timeless rooms that enrich", Mission aimed to develop a complete customer experience. Customers were to be exposed to new products through inspiring exhibitions. The flow in the shop should ensure that the customer is presented with new ideas and that the shop sends signals that encourage visitors to not only think through their practical needs, but to assess the very soul of their own home.

Challenge

Expo Nova is the leading provider of the best contemporary furniture in Norway. Yet despite representing world-class brands, they continue to experience competition from new stores keen to provide Norwegians with their growing passion for interior design.

Part of the challenge was Expo Nova's locations. As the business has grown organically, they have added new stores to their portfolio, making buying everything in one place a challenge for their customers.

Solution

The decision was made to relocate to an 1800 m2. showroom that would offer customers products for every room in the home as well as housing Expo Nova's growing contract division.

Customer services are handled via a central hub, with remote stations located further into the shop. Features such as a chair gallery, a bar for events, a lighting gallery and a test lab were also introduced to provide a more profound experience for customers.

The environment makes full use of the raw materials, with concrete finishes and open ducting forming a neutral backdrop to the colour, textures and shapes of the displays. Bold images help screen the space without losing volume, while a family of tailor-made icons guide visitors through the space.

Result

The centralisation and presentation of the products have made Expo Nova a must-see destination for design-minded shoppers. The Scandinavian style bible Nytt Rom quoted Expo Nova as a “Deluxe Furniture Gallery.”
